I am existing Verizon customer and was online examining my account. I did not see this promotional offering online, rather it was presented to me in their chat popups. The representative offered a Samsung S23 phone free. There would be no charge for the phone, but I was required to pay upfront the Maryland tax on the retail price of the phone, and their $ 35 upgrade fee. So, it’s not really free.
Usually, these Verizon offerings require a more expensive service, but I keep the same service.

We have all seen the up to $ 800 off , but then you put your 2 year old phone in and they give you $ 200. They are giving $ 800 off for 4-5 year old phones. I have a Note 10 and the are giving $ 800 off. Even as old as Note 8 was $ 800 off. Must do the payment plan as I didn’t see an option to pay up front. Must pick unlimited plan.

For all those who want to get an awesome deal on a Samsung Tab S8 Ultra but do not have a tablet for trade-in then this is the workaround.
1. Add the Samsung Tab S6 Lite (64gb) – $ 209.97
– skip any add-on and go to cart
2. Go to the Samsung Tab S8 Ultra
– add the 128gb (from $ 359)
– select the Samsung Tab S6 lite for trade in, then agree to the terms
– choose the color of your free Tab A8
– skip the add on ($ 200 credit)
3. At the check out you’ll see the $ 200 credit will be applied to the Samsung Tab S6 lite ($ 9.97)
