I have Xfinity internet in the northeast on their cheapest 100×5 plan and yesterday received an email saying they are permanently doubling my upload speeds to 10mbps for free. Check your emails and/or reboot your modems to see if you were given a similar upgrade.

I had been debating getting a more expensive plan just for the extra upload speeds and now I don’t have to!

No idea if other plans were given the same upgrade, sorry.

I got an email from Xfinity Rewards about Sing 2 rewards and when I went in to check it out, I saw that it stated "Get a special holiday gift" at the top of the list. The gift was a free bluetooth speaker. It did state it was for Diamond members (14+ years with Xfinity), but hopefully everyone might get something.

PSA: Comcast Xfinity Increasing Data Cap to 1.2TB – Removing 2 courtesy over-limit credits

Many of Comcast / Xfinity many areas are being "upgraded" from 1TB to 1.2TB Data Cap. 2 courtesy over-limit credits is gone. You only get 1 courtesy credit if you never exceeded their data cap before. If you did, and think yo have 1 more left, check your plan – it looks like those are gone. If you are counting on it – check your plan!
Comcast will squeeze you for $ 10 for each 50 GB over limit.

Thanks for the extra 0.2TB increase Comcast but that is still not enough for 2020 IMO. People have streaming services, video conferences / calls, cloud backup, cloud security cameras, kids streaming school, work from home folks doing meetings and video calls, Skype, zoom, etc. The world is going to the cloud and Comcast is still on the stone age plan for data caps.
