Ok so I’ve been mountain biking on and off for around 10 years. A few years ago I bought a bike (my first road bike) similar to this one and it was an extremely capable sub 22lbs bike that I ended up doing several metric and one American century on. This bike is great to get started IMO, the bones are pretty good. You’ve got integrated shifting, 2 speed crank, a real Shimano group set, carbon fork, 25c tires (great overall size), and it’s a medium (all they have left) so it will fit a lot of people all for around $ 300 shipped.
