From my research this is the best rain water diverter for water collection. I use this particular unit connected to a 55 gallon drum to water my garden. Just purchased another one to fill up a 275 gallon tank to start watering my lawn. Collects (mostly) water and not all the junk from your roof (Leaves, pine needles, toxic shingle materials, etc). Just remember to use some silicon caulk to prevent any water leakage.
