It is that time of year again. For those in the military, Military OneSource offers both free filing software and tax service advice.
Those in the military consider this a PSA as you may not have to pay to file or buy software to do so. Not sure who the provider is this year, but I believe in years past they have used TurboTax.

Express 1040 has free filing here [express1040.com] for those of us who need to file a from 1040 tax return. Most of the other providers such as HR Block, Turbo Tax, etc only have free for 1040ez.
This means if you have business income/independent contractor income you have to pay up. TaxAct used to have free filing for this but no more.
I could not find any provider on the Free File section [irs.gov] of the IRS site that has section C (business income) included for free.
