I posted this from NCIX a day or two ago at this price but it only lasted a few hours. Amazon has this from another seller at this price, looks like no tax, cheap shipping. From my last thread:

I’ve probably done a hundred hours of research on high-end gaming laptops the past few weeks and this is a phenomenal deal on probably the all-around best thing money can buy right now, at least without spending frivolously – going from a 970M to 980M adds about 25% to the total cost of the laptop, regardless of brand/model, but also performs ~25% better. I’d be on this asap if I hadn’t just bought a barely used one a little cheaper, which is the only way you’re going to find a better deal, typical price is ~$ 2200 and a niceish deal is $ 2K.

Yes, it’s a little big, but it’s also quiet and cool – Aorus SLI is hot and loud, Alienwares have been going downhill in build quality, and many say this has a better panel than the MSI Dominators. Best of all, you can overclock this Asus’ IPS panel and even use g-sync on it if you look around for hacked drivers. If you need this, you probably already know you do, if you don’t need it that’s fine, get something with an 860M or 965M in it 🙂 feel free to ask any other questions about this laptop. The only caveat is that this very specific model likely includes a 2.5" SSD and 2.5" spinner, rather than the 256GB M.2 SSD in the DH71 submodel, but that’s not likely to make any practical difference for anyone. This is also really well-designed and well-built, you’re not touching this price with anything else unless you settle for a rattly plastic Clevo or similar.

CPU is an i7 4710HQ, similar to any other good gaming/workstation laptop without going overboard.

Does NOT appear to include the current Witcher 3 promo, but who really cares, if you’re going to play it the codes are like $ 20 on ebay.
