May be of interest to some, as this deal is back in stock. Price has remained steady at Woot. And yes, it’s Open Box :rolleyes:
I think it’s a super close decision between saving some dough, getting extra VRAM, extra power requirements (including increased heat dissipation) vs the newer RTX 4080 12GB (aka RTX 4070 Ti), with it’s higher cost, DLSS 3 advantages, lower power consumption due to smaller node size.
Nvidia really screwed up the pricing on the 40xx generation, and surely costs will continue to drop – it’s just a question of when.

It’s way above MSRP, but it’s in stock and sold by Amazon, just look on the right side bar under other sellers and you’ll see it. Honestly not a good deal but if you are desperate, it’s there sold by Amazon. Who knows how long it’ll be in stock, possibly longer than usual since it’s under ‘other sellers’.

Real nice mini/HTPC that comes ready out of the box. The CPU supports Intel QuickSync and is capable of hardware accelerated H.264/H.265 (HVEC) encoding so may work as a low end Plex box. Hardware accelerated decoding support is fairly robust.
