This is a 7200 RMP drive, faster than the green/blue drive and some Seagate with 5400/5700 rpm. It does makes a huge different in wait time during backup. I have 5TB version I use for steam and video/general back up. Been doing me right for *knock on wood* over 4 years now. I have bought a different drive over the years, with 48TB in seal box sit inside my desk drawn. The x300, HGST He8, and WD Black are the best drive I ever own.
