Microcenter currently has the microsoft surface book with i5 8gb/128gb on sale for $ 1249-$ 150(student discount) =$ 1099+tax, b&m only, and edu email required. Best buy will also price match, I just did this myself.
They also have the surface pro 4 i5 8gb/256gb for $ 899 after $ 150 edu discount.
Again this is only b&m, with edu email required. Can be ordered online for free in-store pickup only
