Walmart in store is having clearance sale on some older Samsung Models. The Sprint Samsung A20 is on clearance for $ 49 or less. (Possibly $ 44). I did not purchase this phone because I was fortunate they still had a new Sprint A50 unlocked for $ 74 so I went with that phone. (I am on a Kickstarter plan $ 20 ) the 2nd party activation company (called warp speed, not Sprint) tried to change my plan to an unlimited plan for $ 65 (he was a douche bag) . So the in store rep set me up with a new line that I cancelled as soon as I arrived home. And then sprint made the adjustments to have the new phone work on my Kickstarter line. Sprint also removed the charges related to the new line. These phones are purchased outright at these clearance prices. You do not need a contract and mine is unlocked. And this model is comparable with all US Carriers.
