Lyft offering free rides for thomas fire, creek fire, skirball fire evacuees

LYFT OFFERING FREE RIDES FOR THOMAS FIRE, CREEK FIRE, SKIRBALL FIRE EVACUEES

Ride-share company Lyft is offering free rides to Southern California wildfire evacuees.

Lyft said its drivers will take evacuees from the Thomas Fire, Creek Fire, Skirball Fire and any other wildfire to designated evacuation centers. All riders have to do is use the code LASAFERIDES and it will be free up to $ 40.

The following evacuation centers are where Lyft drivers will take residents:

Looks like Uber is adding their "plus" services to Los Angeles. Similar to the November deal for Lyft.

Pay $ 20 and you get 20 pool rides at $ 2 each up to a $ 20 value
Pay $ 10 and you get 20 pool rides at $ 2 each up to a $ 20 value but the driver shows up in a 15 minute window and must be scheduled at least 5 minutes ahead of time.

I’ve messaged Uber to see if the whole ride needs to be in the zone or if it only needs to start in the zone but can finish outside.
