Happened to see that Amazon was selling these very nice headphones for 55% off the list price of $ 469. A quick search shows that prices for these can vary (some outlets, like Sweetwater and the AKG website, sell them for $ 525!) but this seems by far to be the best deal.

these are the older 2015 model of the 8000 series. I actually purches them 2 years ago on adorama for 799 in thr cherry color. These are the black and honestly they are kick azz. And for this price you are in a while different world of sound for home theater or music. I honestly believe this is a great deal and yes they are older but the improvements in the new series I don’t believe are worth the cost.
