I had an opportunity to check this laptop side by side with Dell XPS 15 latest. I am really glad that HP does not have numpad like spectre. I had spectre 15, not a fan of sidelined trackpad.

Dell XPS is better for:
Gorgeous bezel less build
Full Size SD card slot
Battery little better I guess

HP Envy is better for:
Price
GPU

HP is only few millimeters deeper than XPS. Not a deal breaker to me. I am not sure if RAM is upgradeable on HP. On Spectre it is not possible.

It is not a beast of machine. But for $ 650 with dedicated graphics is not bad I think. The i5 10510u is available for $ 100 more with rest of the configurations same. However from the little I know it might be only 10% of performance improvement. I would rather spend that money on upgrading the RAM personally.
