First post and didn’t see this listed here yet. Went into lowes looking for a finish nailer and saw this miter marked down on clearance. Using Lowe’s card came to $ 108.37. my store only had a few.

Lowes has a secret deal at select stores, buy any double bevel miter saw and get the stand free. The deal applies to the mighty DWS780 with XPS as well. The deal is not applied automatically at checkout either online or at store. Visit Lowes store, pickup the saw and stand before you got the checkout counter. Ask for a manager if the lowes employee rejects to give you the offer. The seems to be valid until Feb 2021. I got mine yesterday.

My camelcamelcamel alert went off, this is usually the lowest price it goes for once per year.
Single bevel and 12", this miter saw is great for homeowners etc, you really dont need much more than this.
I would still recommend changing the blade as standard dewalt blades are just ok.

I recently got a new miter saw and looking for good stand. Home Depot is showing Shopmaster Universal Miter saw stand for $ 69.97 after 39% off. No reviews but worth taking a look. I will also have the link for Menards and Harbor Freight stands. Personally i may go for the menards portamate for $ 45.

This saw is typically $ 299, when it goes on sale on a good deal the price is $ 200. For $ 179 its a pretty good deal. I am not sure if its location based but check it out if you are looking for a Miter saw.
