I did some digging and it looks like these filters have a higher pressure drop than the Filtrete and Honeywell filters they compare to. "Staff Analysis of Air Filter Pressure Drop and Air Filter Sizing (April 2018)" by California Energy Commission [ca.gov] shows these filters at 0.37, where Filtrete was 0.18. That being said, NordicPure is certified at MERV 12, and Filtrete just claims it, so the pressure differential could be telling that same story.
