According to the Amazon reviews, this is the new 3725Z-72T version with the newly redesigned low back drag 72 tooth mech. The previous mech was their low back drag 36 tooth that Ko-ken has been making for a long time. The Ko-ken 1/4" 72 tooth hasn’t even been released, yet, and is reportedly almost 2 yrs behind schedule.

Finally, this deal is coming from Amazon Japan. Amazon Japan has some amazing prices on Japanese tools – but do note, Ko-ken tools, even on Amazon’s Japan website are still quite expensive. None the less, Amazon has waived the normal almost $ 20 shipping cost and offered free shipping on this item. I ordered one for myself and can’t guarantee this is the 72t version – but all of the recent Amazon reviews seem to suggest everyone is receiving the new 72t version.KO-KEN RATCHETS [kokenusa.com]Ko-ken ratchets are known for their very low backlash, small head sizes, and high torque ranges. I believe this is the Regular Olympic Barbell from Titan Fitness that is listed at $ 139.99 and on sale at their website now for $ 109.97. This deal is for $ 79.99 at Walmart. Great Review for a multipurpose Barbell. If you need something that is function and doesn’t cost a lot then this might work for you.

Stumbled on this deal when looking at hook and pick sets. I did not know much about Ullman [ullmandevices.com], but apparently they produce this hook and pick set in their factory in Connecticut and have been in the hand tool business since 1940. This particular hook and pick has been re-branded on a number of more expensive Made in USA tool lines including Craftsman (during the Sears days) and even Matco [matcotools.com]. Cornwell [cornwelltools.com] actually doesn’t even bother rebranding them on their tool trucks. Just note, however, at almost 10 inches, in total length, these are significantly longer than many of the mini-style picks such as the orange-handled Harbor Freight specials.
