After placing the order, within 5 minutes, go back to the order and cancel the free battery. This results in the fan’s price is only $ 26.99+tax. YMMV as I was using an HD Android App, which allowed me to cancel immediately after placing the order, while my friend (used an Iphone app) had to wait for 5-10 minutes for the order to show up.
The deals gets even better if you don’t need batteries thanks to a simple "hack." Immediately after ordering, go to your order history and cancel the battery portion of the order. The final price will be prorated getting you the tool-only at at a deep discount.
I successfully did this with tons of tools last time this deal came around. Like way too many. If for some reason you are unable to cancel the batteries online, you can always try to return them in-store. I chose to keep some of the batteries but they came shipped in their own packaging with a dedicated UPC.
