First post here, so apologies in advance if I leave anything out or if this has been posted before. Hit several area Walmarts to try and grab a curved 55 inch Samsung clearance TV and came across the above listed TV. LG 4K Ultra at $ 249. The store I was at had one left, a display model. I wound up leaving it there. Of course, Brickseek was wrong on the Samsung being in stock, so I went to another local Walmart and they, too, had the 60-inch LG in the back, unopened, but the price was $ 600. The electronics manager said that stock has to be on hand for a minimum of 12 weeks before it gets the major markdowns. This is Walmart, so who knows how accurate she was. This is an extreme YMMV situation (and it’s nothing to do with utility discounts either). Some stores have it for $ 700-800+ and some have it deeply discounted to $ 359.64. In my area for example: Greeneville, TN, Abingdon, VA, and Waynesville, NC have the cheaper $ 359.64 price, while Johnson City, TN has it for $ 719.28 and Jonesborough, TN has it for $ 799.20. Most stores don’t have any in stock and if they do it’s just 1 maybe 2.

The reason for the low price and scarce availability is that GE discontinued making the GeoSpring water heaters. They sold the production machinery to Bradford White who will presumably use that to build the same or similar product with different branding and a higher price.

Perhaps I stumbled upon a unicorn today, but I found the Philips 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray player, model BDP7501 priced on clearance at Target for $ 75.04.

It was a bit strange – Brickseek still has it at $ 149.98 all around, but it scanned this price in store and the clerk said "he thinks" it was marked down today. So perhaps it may be getting marked further down at a store near you and Brickseek simply hasn’t caught up. I do not know.
