Dr sending medical bill even though insurance paid.

i happened to see a podiatrist couple of times few months ago. Soon enough realized i made a wrong choice and switched to an ortho.

the Dr was out of network, my insurance paid full amount (submitted charge = paid by insurance , no patient responsibility).

Now i am getting >120 days overdue bills from him for the submitted charges. First time the bill came to me, i called insurance and they left a msg for the Dr saying i am not responsible for any charges.

What are my options here?, obviously i do not owe him money.
I am worried about him going to collection 🙁
