This entry level cordless drill is on sale at Lowe’s for $ 59. Barebones kit with a drill, charger, and rather tiny 1.3 Ah battery.
However, if you need a super cheap basic drill for now, you can get this, and since Lowe’s appears to be going all in on Craftsman, you can expand into this ecosystem in the future.
Although TBH I’d probably spend an extra $ 20 and get the $ 79 Kobalt drill, which is 24V and full brushless design, along with a decent number of tools in their lineup, longer warranty, and cheapest batteries on the market.

I was poking around HD yesterday and saw these on a stand near the front. Since I’ve broken several small bits recently, I was happy to see that it comes with 6-7 small ones for pilot holes, which is really all I need (way too many sets already!). Price on the sticker was $ 5.something, but it rang up at $ 3.88. Not too shabby.
It comes in a locking hard case with bits from 1/16" to 5/16". Just eyeballing them, it looks like about half of them are multiples, roughly 20 different sizes.
I could NOT find them anywhere online or in their BF ad. The only place I found a reference was here: https://www.ebay.com/p/Home-DEPOT…2256064
