The Caldigit TS3+ I got recently has had coil whine and USB sensing issues since I got it, so it needs to go back.
Compared to the TS3+, the HP G2 is $ 50 cheaper, smaller (can mount behind a monitor), has a USB-C mode if TB3 is not available, and offers a full 100w charging. It’s a winner all around, at least on paper. I’m not using the sd slot or extra USB ports anyway (I have a separate USB hub that keeps devices organized). Note that this has 2 DP ports instead of 1 and that neither hub has HDMI.
