I’ve been looking at these Gravity-fed smoker/grills, and just found the CG 980 is half price today on Lowe’s website. Usual price is $ 599, and it’s now $ 299.
I’m leaning towards the Masterbuilt 800 for the griddle, but this sales price is really good.
If you don’t see the sale price, try setting the store to Tustin, CA 92782. Looks like it’s not a nationwide sales.

My local (SoCal) Lowe’s is clearing these out for $ 151.57. The cover of this grill is also on clearance for $ 19.97 (upper-right corner of the picture). If you have Lowe’s Advantage CC, and you can find 20% off coupon and use it in store to save another 20% (as I did). Please don’t ask me where to find the coupons. Since it’s on clearance, other coupons might not work.

I’ve been patiently waiting for this grill to go on clearance for $ 150 and figured I’d have to wait until the fall markdowns. I still check Brickseek regularly though just in case, and today it happened to pay off! One Walmart in my area had them marked down to $ 150 according to Brickseek so I drove over and sure enough they were. Obviously this is a big YMMV (only 1 of 13 local stores had it at this price, the rest were the usual $ 247,) but if you’re like me and have been waiting for this price, check the stores in your area just in case.
