I just bought a Surface 3 128 gb at Best Buy. I had them price match to the microsoft store for the .edu discount. I suppose you could get by with just a screenshot of the pricing if they asked for it.

Pen = $ 44.99
Type cover = $ 116.99

Total for the accessories I chose was: $ 201.97 – $ 30 Bundle discount = $ 171.97
+ Surface 3 128 gb = $ 711.96 (not including tax). Only $ 11 more than costco and I received the colors I wanted and the 64 gb memory card.

If you chose a $ 2.99 fillter item it would come out to $ 164.97 – $ 30 bundle discount =134.97 + Surface 3 128 gb = $ 674.96 which is about $ 25 cheaper than Costco!
