I rarely post, but since I’ve been looking out for the last few months for a deal on the a6300, thought I’d share. Especially great for CA friends who get charged tax from most other than Adorama and B&H.

Adorama [adorama.com] has the body and kit lens for the usual price ($ 1148), but it also comes with a $ 100 Adorama Gift Card as part of their bundle.

This is a refurb camera with 90 days warranty by Sony according to the site. There is 30 days return policy.

This is a better deal than the a5000 refurb bundle from Newsegg flash site a couple days ago (it too was sold by Secondipity) which included the camera and two lens only. The a5100 is a newer model and has the fast AF of the a6000 minus the EVF. It’s worth the $ 70 difference compare to the a5000 IMO. I have missed out the a6000 deals before. The current price for the a6000 with 2 lens kits is $ 629.99, so I saved $ 230. This will tie me over until I save enough for the A7 series. No EVF is a big drawback. Make sure you can live without it before getting this camera.

I have not bought from Secondivity before. The online reviews are mixed. Some claims they received like new items, others not. I call their phone number this morning and it was picked up immediately. This gave me some confidence in them. The lady told me the cameras will be shipped from either New Jersey or Texas (you have to pay taxes in those states). They sell a lot of Sony refurbs and I think they are a legit outfit.

This is my first deal post so please be gentle.

I just picked up a Sony Alpha a3000 Emount camera at my local Target in CA for $ 227.98. They are on clearance at most Target stores.

While it doesn’t have as many features as some entry level dslrs, you can’t beat the image quality at this price. I have an a5000 as well but I couldn’t resist getting the a3000 for this price also so I don’t have to swap out lenses so much.
