I bought one of these for my classroom a few weeks ago when the price was $ 108.30, regular price is $ 169. I teach tech ed in an urban school and have a small self funded farm of Ender 3 printers that my students get excited to use and see operating. Several of them ask me where to get one for their own use, but I am afraid to recommend them to my students as they are only in 6th and 7th grade and the Ender 3s can be tricky to assemble. I was interested when I saw the deal on the Ender-2 as a possible recommendation to my students as a cheap option that most of their parents or guardians would be able to assemble with them. I had it built and running in no time and it sits on my desk. It has become my go to for daily prints. The build plate is smaller than the 3, but or $ 100, it is a great option with a lot of features for someone deciding if they want to get into the hobby or not. It is definitely something I feel comfortable recommending to my middle school students.
