These are decent prices on Lindt Couverture chocolate, which is high quality tempering chocolate used in cooking. Both of these are half the typical price, and though not down to the incredible $ 11/bag price of last year, this is still a great deal IMHO.
Surfin’ Semi Sweet is 52% cocoa, a somewhat sweet, somewhat dark chocolate that I’ve tried and is, well, pretty darn edible on its own without the need for tempering or processing/melting. It makes INCREDIBLE truffles, by the way.
Blancor is a true white chocolate, 36% cocoa. I’ve never tried it, so I can’t comment on the taste or quality.
I have purchased two bags of the semi-sweet, and it is good. The expiration date is at the end of December, so plenty of time to use, eat, or seal for future use.
A recent review states the Blancor (white chocolate) has an expiration date in a couple months, so be careful of ordering a ton of this stuff.
These prices seem to be fluctuating, and though the Blancor seems to be on sale because it is near the expiration date (again, per one review), I’m not sure why the other is discounted in such a way.
