I got an email from Best Buy the other day with this heading, "(my name), here’s a FREE $ 5 savings code. Let’s reconnect. Ends 5/13/16."

Inside was a link to click to print it up, but you can also use the code online like a gift card as it has a 16 digit code like a gift card as well as a four digit PIN number.

This may be a targeted email only sent to those(like me) who haven’t really shopped at Best Buy in a while.
