Saw this smart bulb at Amazon with the lowest price ever according to camelcamelcamel @ $ 12.99., ships in 2 to 4 weeks. I have not used these before, but will try out a pair for $ 13.

Specs say ZigBee and can do the 2700K-6500K color spectrum. Reviews mention a problem changing the color in SmartThings around Aug, but a recent update appears to resolve it.

Requires a smart hub, the manufacturer’s FAQ currently says compatible with their branded hub and SmartThings at the moment. Says not compatible with Philips Hue, Wemo, Cox Homelife nor Comcast Xfinity.
